After serving in the US Navy, Howard received his undergraduate degree in art education from Kean University in NJ in 1974, and his Master in Media Design and Technology from the New School in New York in 1976. He went from a part time audio/visual tech. at a NJ High School and became a grant facilitator for a Title IV-C program in Television Production at the Union Public Schools. This program became state and nationally validated for utilizing the media to teach and learn. The program was called C.A.S.T., communication arts and science training. He spent the next 25 years in the cable TV, video production and video sales industries in various management roles, as well as owning a small business. The last ten years he went back to the world of education to rebuild and teach video production and editing at Passaic County Technical Institute the largest vocational high school in New Jersey. After retiring in 2014 he moved to Cape Cod MA to continue his dream of creating photography and sculpture for all to enjoy.
